We measure a lot of statistics when running a campaign. One important statistic when it comes to conversion is your bounce rate. You can run a great marketing campaign that generates millions of traffic, but has less than 0.001% of conversion. Higher bounce rates are an indicator that your content or landing page is not persuasive enough to convert the sale. Check the tone of your content. If it is not consistent with the rest of your campaign, change it. Check the copywriting. If it doesn't persuade your friends to opt-in, change it. - Maria Thimothy, OneIMS
Lot’s of office rental companies run refer a friend schemes and the majority of these schemes can pay out an awful lot of money for each new customer you get to sign up. Some of the office companies I’ve came across have paid out around £300 per new customer. Simply find a few programmes in your area & begin advertising them on free classified ad sites such as Gumtree & Craigslist, all you need to do is tell them to get in touch with the office company & mention your name.
Firstly, a disclaimer – don’t spam Reddit and other similar sites hoping to “hit the jackpot” of referral traffic, because it’s not going to happen. Members of communities like Reddit are extraordinarily savvy to spam disguised as legitimate links, but every now and again, it doesn’t hurt to submit links that these audiences will find genuinely useful. Choose a relevant subreddit, submit your content, then watch the traffic pour in.
Clearly, paying for ads and other initiatives is always one method to drive traffic to your site or blog. If you have a small budget, and you track things properly, you can come up with a cost-per acquisition (CPA). If your CPA is high enough, you can comfortably scale your advertising revenues. Be sure to implement things like Facebook and Google tracking pixels to determine the effectiveness of your ads.
Using something called “vehicle wrapping” companies can put adverts on your car and remove them without damaging the paintwork. If you’re happy to drive around with a few ads on your car then you’ll be glad to know companies like Comm-motion (edit – sadly Comm-motion has since closed) will pay you to do just that. You can earn over £200 a month however the amount you earn will depend on how many ads your willing to put on your car, the more you put on the more money you’ll earn. They’ll generally be willing to put ads on cars of all shapes and sizes but they’ll most likely require your vehicle to be fairly new and in good condition.
Converting traffic on top of the funnel is nearly impossible in the context of expensive purchases or services. Instead, consider what it would take to turn your cold traffic source to a satisfied customer. Techniques include a variety of opportunities, from e-books and email courses through webinars to free consultations. Warming up leads and building trust requires multiple steps, and continuously delivering value will turn a higher percentage into customers. Combine free content and extra insights with remarketing and external acquisition of traffic for best efforts, but most importantly, don't push for a sale too early when it comes to top-of-the-funnel traffic. - Mario Peshev, DevriX

On website’s like Freelancer there’s thousands of employers looking to outsource work. Providing you can at least read & write or enter data there’s certainly jobs on there you’ll be capable of completing. Browse through jobs, bid on any that tickle your fancy & get paid when you finish them. It really is easy as it sounds!
Having an industry influencer publish a blog post on your site or turning an interview with them into a blog post can help to drive traffic both through organic search but also via that influencer promoting the content to their audience (see the backlinks section above). This can also help to add more variety to your content and show your visitors that you are active in your field.
6. IZEA – IZEA works in addition to a blog or on its own. You get paid to blog, tweet, take photos and take videos. The pay is mostly based on your following, so if you want to make money with your tweets, you’ll need to grow you Twitter following. Likewise, if you want to make money with blogs, you’ll need substantial blog traffic (more on blogging below).
Whatever industry you’re in, chances are there are at least one or two major conventions and conferences that are relevant to your business. Attending these events is a good idea – speaking at them is even better. Even a halfway decent speaking engagement is an excellent way to establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry and gain significant exposure for your site.
Using sites like Qmee you can actually get paid to search on sites like Google, Yahoo, Bing, Amazon & eBay. All you need to do is simply install the Qmee app & search like normal. Qmee will place a few of their own search results alongside your normal ones & if you decide your interested in one of the results Qmee have displayed then you can click on it & collect your reward.
If you’ve got any old phones lying around the house that you think nobody would buy then think again. Sites like Mazuma and Envirophone will give you an instant online valuation & if your happy you can sell it to them for some quick cash. The few times I’ve used them I’ve been pretty impressed at the prices they’ve offered me, they weren’t actually much lower than 2nd hand market value.
Is there a product or service that you are particularly enthusiastic about? If you are, you may be able to develop a website that is built around selling it. You don’t have to be the actual provider of the product or service either. There are many businesses that offer these products and will allow you to sell them on an affiliate basis. For example, you may be able to sell a product on your website for a commission of 20% or 30% of the sale price.
According to Lynne Norris of NorrisBusinessSolutions.com, who works out of her home in Pennsylvania as a virtual assistant, the rates for VAs run about $25 to $75 or more an hour, though ZipRecruiter calculates the average hourly rate at $19. According to Norris, the startup costs of this work from home job can range from about $500 to $1,000, assuming you have an up-to-date computer and printer.
Consider outsourcing article writing. If you hate the thought of generating content yourself, or your team is not writing-savvy, consider outsourcing this end of the task. Depending on the length, content, specialization and quality required, prices can start as low as US$5 per article. However, don't neglect attempting to write your own work - who better than you knows your own business, hobby or club and can express precisely what needs to be said?
This one is so obvious, we’re going to look at it first. Paid search, social media advertising and display advertising (try our Smart Ads Creator!) are all excellent ways of attracting visitors, building your brand and getting your site in front of people. Adjust your paid strategies to suit your goals – do you just want more traffic, or are you looking to increase conversions, too? Each paid channel has its pros and cons, so think carefully about your objectives before you reach for your credit card.
Landing pages are another free source of traffic to your website. These are pages specific to your offers, such as for redeeming a discount code, downloading a free guide, or starting a free trial. They contain the details users need in order to move forward and convert, and focus on one specific call to action, making it more likely to happen. Because landing pages are so specific, you can get very targeted in your messaging, increasing the traffic coming to those pages.
Create something of value that people will pass around. It can be a report with useful information that you allow people to give away. It can also be some kind of cool and unusual web-page that people will want to e-mail to all their friends. Of course, the pass-around item will include your advertisement and your link, spreading the word about your website. This is a "viral" strategy.
20. Etsy – If you like to create arts and crafts, you can sell them on Etsy. It’s completely free to open an Etsy store. You simply sign up, post pictures of your creations and starting selling. You can choose your payment option, but PayPal is generally the easiest. Etsy makes it easy to sell and keep track of your inventory. There is a small listing fee and they take 3.5% of every sale you make.
Create a navigation menu. For easy navigation, you should create a toolbar with links that are easy to navigate and position the toolbar in an area that makes sense. Web users often look for the toolbar across the top or down the left the left hand side of the page. You shouldn't forget a link to your homepage. It’s often forgotten but very important to point your users to your homepage.
