Well, WA keep coming up and its FREE, so I think that I have found where I want to start. My one thing is that everyone seems to say that they will be your mentor just so you sign up and then eventually go Premium. Because we all know that is where you get the bigger lay out. Which is not a bad deal at all. But I’m one that likes to have that type of guidance from one person instead of reaching out to 100 and having no clue which persons advice I should take. It seems like I should just try to find someone I think that I can click with and hope for the best???
I have yet to implement all the tools you have shared and recommended in this article, but I really like the way you explain things. It is written in a very easy-to-read style, and ho hype or exaggerated comments. Now I have to get busy and take the necessary time to study, and implement, your recommendations. Thank you for all that you have shared.
When deciding what affiliate program to use I did a lot of research into different ones that worked with Wordpress. This came out top for me, it has a lot more features than similar products and I like that it tells your affiliate who the sale is from and also allows you to track leads (which in my case is the free version of my site) Support has been good, a special mention to Adam Jacobs who has been there to help me set everything up and answer any questions as ive gone along.
Affiliate marketing as a monetization stream is perfect for bloggers, because we recommend things on a daily basis. It’s also a largely passive way to make money, which frees up your time to do other cool things, like travel and eat your weight in pie. Long story short: affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to monetize your blog, so you should read on to learn all about it!
Amazon is the largest affiliate site that offers numerous advantages to sellers and affiliates alike. With more than one and a half million sellers, this is the perfect place for beginners to start affiliate marketing. This site is also an excellent option for advanced affiliate marketers who can create custom tools and websites that have APIs and as well as Amazon implementations. As a beginner, you will need some form of a platform where you can promote your products. The most common way of doing this is through your blog or website.
JVZoo is very similar to ClickBank. They offer primarily digital products including, software, info-products, and ebooks. They have been largely passed by ClickBank but still have many strong products and fewer junk products than JVZoo. Unlike JVZoo each program approves you individually. A great feature is instant payouts from vendors that approve you. Unlike ClickBank JV Zoo id free for both affiliates and product creators. This makes it a great place to launch your first digital product.
These are some really great programs to start with, if they fit in your niche. AWeber, for instance, has a good pay out, but if your blog readers aren’t interested in building an email list, you’re not going to make any sales by promoting it. That’s why I love that you’ve also included ShareASale – no matter what niche you’re in, you’ll find something excellent to promote!
Try Udemy’s affiliate marketing courses if you want many options. Udemy offers a large range of marketing classes online, including several geared towards affiliate marketing. You can move through Udemy’s marketing courses at your own pace, and they’ll help you grasp the basics of affiliate marketing including partnering with companies, SEO, and increasing website traffic.
Building trust with your audience is paramount in affiliate marketing, and the quickest way to lose trust is to recommend products either you haven’t used before or that aren’t a good fit for your audience. Also make sure you never tell anyone to directly buy a product, you are simply recommending the product. The more helpful you are and the more you make quality recommendations, the more likely your web visitors will come back for your expertise.
Content is King – The more successful websites had content that was around 1,000 words per post. Google identifies this as better content and it’ll help your search rankings. It can’t just be gibberish though, it helps if you break up the content into 6-8 different sections so it’s easy for the user to navigate while still being lengthy. I used to think 300 words was good and 500 was above and beyond. I’ll likely spend even more time on articles and aim for around 1,000 words per article like my most popular article “Robinhood App Review” at 1,500 words.
Hey Drew, would you recommend taking Savage Affiliates first, then the authority site system, and finally super affiliate system 2.0 in that order? If it’s possible to start earning passive income with the first course I’m sure I’d be enticed to invest in paid ads for my business to scale, outsource, and grow. Speaking of these 3 courses, are there any updates on any of them since this post? Savage Affiliates still #1?
If you’re going to sign up for any of their premium services, I personally recommend you sign up for this business building package. Basically, you are paying their experts to go out and perform market research, build a website for you, build you an email responder that will automatically email your subscribers for one year, and create the first handful of content pages. They will also help you research the best affiliate products to promote and give you access to special one-on-one coaching that is only available for their paying members. Check it out if you have the funding to get this type of jump start. Outsourcing from day 1 is ideal if you have the funds available, especially when you are outsourcing to a team of people managed by affiliate marketing millionaires.
There are several ways to market products by means of affiliate marketing on the Internet without having your own website. You can become an affiliate marketer by incorporating affiliate links into the body of emails you send, posting affiliate links in discussion communities such as forums, discussion boards, or blogs, writing articles on websites that feature user-generated content, and also, writing e-books that feature embedded affiliate links.
Another example of an Amazon Affiliate Website that niched down to long boards. These are like skateboards but longer and meant to cruise, going longer distances than skateboards. It’s a relatively simple website that loads the user with tons of products from the homepage but highlights the lack of comments per review (usually 0 – 2 comments). The typical length of an article is 300-500 words so they are relying on their specific niche for traffic. Not bad for a “.net” domain as they are less common than their popular counterparts “.com”. It’s not the best example, but I’m going for a range.
No matter how good your marketing skills are, you’ll make less money on a bad product than you will on a valuable one. Take the time to study the demand for a product before promoting it. Make sure to research the seller with care before teaming up. Your time is worth a lot, and you want to be sure you’re spending it on a product that is profitable and a seller you can believe in.
Developing a website might seem difficult on the surface. You know that some website development companies cost thousands, 10’s of thousands, or even 100’s of thousands of dollars to build a site. You might also think you need to know a bunch of computer code in order to build a great site. That is nonsense. I personally know a little tiny bit of HTML and CSS, but I’m even using that less and less over time.
They’re who I use and you can view my GTmetrix report (this post has a huge 5.12MB page size and still loads in under 2s). You won’t get those load times on shared hosting. Cloudways is highly recommended in the WordPress Hosting Facebook Group (the place you should go to get unbiased hosting opinions) and #1 in numerous Facebook polls. Most affiliates promote Bluehost and SiteGround because of commissions, but they are definitely not the best/fastest.

first off, show visitors that you have a great site by getting a better theme! You did not get a penalty because of affiliate content, nor have I ever heard of, however, I have heard of sites in the past getting penalty for having do follow links to affiliate programs such as amazon, remember, google does not like you giving credit to a site in exchange for receiving paid compensation, so ask yourself, are your external links nofollow? this may also include any buttons/graphics that link to affiliate sites that do not have a no follow attribute, not going to go to much into this, so I am going to assume your content is ok, if it is, then you need to check your link portfolio; maybe you have too many low quality links and/or you may have over-optimized anchor/text in your link building efforts; bad links, over optimization are common link issues that could cause your site to get a penalty, as it is not about what you are writing about, if all else fails, then hire seo consultant for an entire site autdit, they will go through your site tooth and nail, and see why you have lost your rankings. good luck.
Whereas an affiliate program creates a direct relationship between marketers and the company whose products they are promoting, affiliate networks act as a middle ground for the two. In an affiliate program, a company will designate members of their own team as affiliate managers, allowing them to have more say in their own affiliates. The affiliate network acts as a third party affiliate manager, helping companies save time.
Hi Mauricio truthfully I was not aware that WP could be hacked so that never crossed my mind. But if you have these concerns there are other content management platforms such as SquareSpace, Wix, Weebly that do an awesome job. They may not be as good as WP but they still get the job done. I love WP because of all the plug ins and themes that are available to help me customise my website the way I like it. I’m not very sure that SquareSpace, Wix or Weebly has the same. Good luck on whatever you choose.
A more beginner-friendly option to earn money as an affiliate marketer, without maintaining a blog or website, is through Amazon. And, as previously mentioned, the Amazon Associates program works well with many non-blogging platforms. Plus, their tools make it easy to integrate your unique affiliate links into the content you share, whether you’re making a YouTube video or posting a social media update.
Affiliate marketing, as the word “Affiliate” suggests is a form of marketing, wherein you are affiliated or associated with a certain organization, and wherein you promote their products or services on your website (or your social media networks), and whenever any sale happens, you get a certain percentage of the sale amount as your reward. That is Affiliate marketing in a nutshell.

If you're looking to promote your products or services, there are a few affiliate programs you can consider. When choosing an affiliate program, you'll want to keep in-mind the avenues or platforms your audience spends the majority of their time — for instance, does your buyer persona typically read blog posts, scroll Facebook, or use search engines when researching new products?
Think of it this way – if you were about to open a restaurant, wouldn’t you do some research before quitting your day job and investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into it? Of course you would! You would research the best location, the best type of food to serve, how much you’ll have to pay employees, where you’ll source ingredients from, what type of tables and furniture to use, the best ovens and equipment for the kitchen, and all sorts of stuff. If you just “wing it” and open a restaurant without doing any research first, you’ll most likely fail. While affiliate marketing can be started part-time and without much capital, the same holds true. If you don’t research and plan, you will fail.
Social Media Channels: This option has the most choices for affiliate marketers looking to make money online without a website or blog. Social media channels include Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest, Vine Camera, Ask.fm, LinkedIn, Google+, Tumblr, Flickr, Meetup and Classmates. Several of these platforms allow you to place your own affiliate links on your posts, comments, and profiles. The key to this option is to know the rules of marketing on each platform (by reading the guidelines and policies on each) and following them to avoid ticking off the other users and worse yet getting outright banned from them. Remember that you don’t own your social media accounts, you’re simply a visitor. It’s OK to sell on some of these channels but focus on being contributor first and adding value to the community before asking for anything in return. And that’s where to hard work comes in. Only the best contributors make the big affiliate marketing bucks when it comes to social media channels.
Reach out to companies whose goods you’d like to market. Once you’re regularly producing content and have plenty of subscribers, it’s time to reach out to merchants with who you’d like to affiliate market. The best way to go about this is by sending an email to the director of their marketing or sales department, if you can find that information online. Explain that you run a popular website or blog devoted to a topic relevant to the company’s products. If the company agrees to take you on as an affiliate marketer, they’ll send you a specific URL that you can use to create ads on your website.
The editor itself is a joy to use. The stock layout options make it easy to add nicely formatted text and images, and you can quickly embed any document, image, form, or other file from your Google Drive—just click the Drive button and you can browse everything. I loved that when I added a background image, Sites adjusted it so that the text over it was still readable; it's a small feature, but it shows just how polished the app is.
Thankyourskin.com is a site that Tung Tran is running. He is a well-known marketer from cloudliving.com, make sure to check him out. Anyhow, this site is a great example of a niche site. Notice a few things here: He runs a CTA on the top to collect leads (emails) from visitors. This is a very wise strategy because it will allow him to run targeted messages to his visitors and make them come back to the site.
Hi JD, great article! I decided to buy Savage Affiliate I am a beginner and his program has a lot to offer. One question, I work Monday-Thursday 10 hours a day and off on Friday. Since you and others talk about putting the time and work into the program. I have no problems. My question is would it hurt my business if I spent 8 to 10 hours on Friday versus trying to find the time at work during the week. I really worry about this, because I’m also thinking about waking up at 4 am to put some time into my business once I get it up and running.
Many affiliate programs will often run promotions with good discounts or giveaways that might be attractive to your audience. For example, if you're an Amazon Associate and the site have a big Holiday Sale, it would be the perfect opportunity for you to promote discounts to your website visitors. This is a great way to promote your offers while also providing good value to your audience.
Featured snippets can be achieved by answering a question keyword in a very concise way (usually with a paragraph or list from the content). Lists are usually pulled from your table of contents or h3 subheadings. To get a featured snippet for my keyword “how to make money with affiliate marketing” Google will likely use my TOC or maybe (let’s see), this paragraph:
The best way to obtain website traffic is through free search engine referrals. However, obtaining traffic from the search engines takes time. Everything form creating email marketing lists to social media marketing and even how to write a blog post to increase how many people share it – it’s all there. This is the best tutorial section to go through first because it will lead to returns sooner.
